Register and Display a Permit
Students driving to AAHS must register their vehicle and obtain a school parking permit. Keep the permit visible whenever the vehicle is parked.
Obtain a temporary pass when driving a different vehicle. Notify campus supervisors of changes to the vehicle, license plate or temporary-tag status.
Where to Park
The north student lot is the only designated student parking area. Student parking elsewhere is not permitted until after 3 p.m.
Parking violations may lead to tickets or discipline. Vehicles without visible permits may be stickered, towed at the owner’s expense or referred for discipline. Off-campus parking may result in ticketing or towing by USAFA Security Forces.
Responsible Driving
Be punctual to classes and drive responsibly, including at lunch.
Do not transport freshmen off campus during the school day.
Do not speed, drive recklessly or loiter in parking lots without permission.
Repeated speeding or unsafe driving may lead to loss of privileges. USAFA 10th Security Forces informs AAHS when a student receives a speeding ticket. A second violation results in loss of all driving and parking privileges for the rest of the school year.
Accidents and Vehicle Searches
Report any campus accident immediately to the Dean’s office and/or Campus Security. USAFA 10th Security Forces investigates and determines citations or fault on base.
Student vehicles may be searched when there are reasonable grounds to believe drugs, alcohol, stolen property or other contraband are present.
See Base Access for gate requirements and Open Campus for lunch expectations.
