Homework Responsibilities

Homework extends classroom learning and builds independence, self-discipline, responsibility and academic skills. Most students can expect two to two-and-one-half hours of homework each day.

Students must check with their teachers to identify missed assignments. Work missed during unexcused absences and suspensions must still be completed and receives credit according to school procedures.

For school or personal absences longer than one day, obtain the form from Attendance at least one week in advance and complete the approval process. See Attendance for the form and reporting instructions.

Kadet Time (KAT)

KAT meets on Wednesdays and Thursdays for 40 minutes for academic advisement, intervention and enrichment. All students must report whenever it is scheduled.

  • Attendance is mandatory.

  • The campus is closed during KAT.

See Schedules for times.
