Who May Leave for Lunch
Open-campus lunch is available only to sophomores, juniors and seniors. It is a privilege and may be suspended during unsafe driving weather or special events at USAFA or AAHS.
Freshmen may not leave for open-campus lunch. Student drivers may not transport freshmen off campus during the school day.
Leaving and Remaining on Campus
Show an AAHS ID when leaving.
Be prepared to open your vehicle trunk for Campus Security inspection if requested.
Students who remain at school for lunch must stay on high school grounds.
Do not walk into the woods, USAFA housing or the USAFA park next to the school.
Do not leave or remain off campus to smoke. This is considered trespassing on base property and may result in school and base discipline.
Students may be disciplined for off-campus behavior during school hours, including lunch.
Closed-Campus Times
Campus is closed during Kadet Time(KAT) and school-day assemblies. Follow the KAT attendance requirements and assembly expectations.
