All About DECA
Activities include competition and travel at the local, State and International level, allowing club members to participate in various leadership and business workshops, and of course, fundraising activities!
As a member of DECA you will use the knowledge and skills from your classes to increase your employability and professionalism. Our members compete in their own chosen business field or personal interest area (broadcast advertising, sports marketing, sales, etc.), or with a competency skill (such as Interviewing). You must be enrolled in a Business/Marketing/Computer Education class at some point in the year to be a member of DECA.

Fundraising
One of the key elements of DECA is fundraising through donations, sponsorships and student activities. The funds we raise from these activities help us attend competitions across the nation.
Donations - We gladly accept donations made by businesses or individuals to support our club. Contact our DECA club for additional details.
Sponsorships - We welcome local and national businesses to sponsor our chapter! When you business sponsors our chapter you get your name on our shirts for competitions, a shoutout on our website and social media, and satisfaction that you are helping our future generation of business leaders.
Kadet Coffee and KC2, our in-school business - Our school coffee shop is open during all blue and silver blocks. Students, staff, parents and visitors can buy drinks, gum, cool stickers, or tumblers here to support our DECA chapter. All of the profits support students in competitions and in the coffee shop.
DECA Classes
There are a variety of business classes that students can take that allow you to be part of DECA. Take a look at the AAHS Course Guide and check out the Business and Marketing Pathway for a list of these classes.
