Be a Volunteer

Volunteers extend beyond the classroom at Academy District 20! They assist not only teachers but also coaches, library staff, office personnel, and after-school clubs. Complete the Academy District 20 Volunteer application and reach out to program, club, or activity organizers to express your interest and share your expertise.

Guest speakers are regularly sought after by our Career and Technical Education programs to share their life experiences. Opportunities also exist in classes like DECA and FBLA, where guests can contribute as judges for student presentations and activities.

DECA and the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) programs aim to foster entrepreneurial and leadership skills among future business leaders. These clubs frequently seek speakers who can share their insights from the business world.

Former athletes who have pursued athletics beyond high school are particularly valued for sharing their college or professional experiences with our students.

If you are interested in volunteering at AAHS or would like more information, visit the Academy District 20 Volunteer page.

School Accountability Committee

Join our School Accountability Committee (SAC) to stay up to date on all that’s new in education at the state and district level.

Understand what school accountability means for Air Academy, provide input directly to school leadership, and share your experience as a student, parent/guardian, and/or staff member.

Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month in the AAHS media center. All parents/guardians are welcome to attend. Email Joani Coleman to join.

AAHS Parent Council

Parent Council is the organization for all parents to discuss Air Academy High School ideas and issues and support various school activities. We are here to support the AAHS community. Learn more about our Parent Council.

Complete Your Student Teaching Practicum

Admittedly, we may be a little biased, but we believe we have the best teachers and students in the state! If you are studying to be a teacher, special education provider, or counselor and need to complete your classroom hours, we hope you’ll consider doing them at Air Academy. Contact Linda Ransom to begin the process of teaching at AAHS!
