Before or at the start of their senior year, many families choose to have their senior portraits professionally taken, and then use that portrait as their senior photo in the yearbook. If you would like to do this, your family is responsible for contacting your photographer, booking your appointment, and then having the portrait submitted to us by the October 24th deadline.

Preferred Photographers

You are welcome to use any photographer you'd like. It is highly recommended that you contact your photographer to set up your photo session by the end of May. This is a list of AAHS preferred photographers and yearbook sponsors:

Senior Portrait Requirements

Photos must meet the following requirements to be published.

  • All portraits should be vertical rectangles, 2 inches by 3 inches, at 300dpi, saved in JPEG format.

  • Name the photo with the student’s LastName.FirstName.

  • All portraits should be head and shoulder shots. Photos not submitted as head shots will be cropped.

  • Portraits featuring any clothing, items, or subjects in violation of school policy or dress code will not be accepted.

  • Portraits with props or animals will not be accepted.

  • Portraits must be submitted digitally; we will not accept hard copies of any portrait.

  • Photographers should also submit portraits digitally using the link provided.

  • Please submit just one photo.

  • Please submit using the website link which will be posted soon. Do not email photos.

  • We will contact students and parents/guardians via email if a photo has not been submitted, so please do not email for additional confirmation.

  • No portraits will be accepted after 3 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2024.
