I was born and raised in East Lansing, Michigan. I graduated from the University of Michigan in 2007 with a BA in education and Spanish. After graduating college, I taught English for one year at La Gloria English School in Isla Mujeres, Mexico. I then taught 1st grade at The American School Foundation of Chiapas, a bilingual K-12 school, in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Mexico. I’ve been teaching Spanish at AAHS since August of 2010, and I am currently working on getting an MA in Spanish linguistics.
