Advanced Math placement test information for the
2018-2019 school year
Are you…
· …currently in Geometry and interested in taking Honors Algebra 2 next year?
· …currently in Algebra 2 and interested in skipping Algebra 3 to take PreCalc next year?
· …currently in Algebra 3 and interested in taking Honors PreCalc next year?
Then you MUST do the following:
1. Register for the course you want and sign up for the 1-hour timed test outside of Ms. Madden's room (509).
2. Take the 1-hour timed Advanced Math placement test during one of the following times in the Library:
Wednesday, Feb. 7
6:35-7:35 a.m. (or) 3:00-4:00 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 8
6:35-7:35 a.m. (or) 3:00-4:00 p.m.
· Bring a pencil and calculator for the one-hour timed test.
· If one of those times doesn't work due to school conflicts, see Ms. Madden in room 509 before Feb. 7th.
3. After testing, scores will be sent to your current math teacher. See your current teacher to schedule time to review your placement test, your performance in previous and current math classes and your Star results to determine what course is the correct placement for you.
