How to get access on base for Incoming Freshmen and New Students.
All parents of students for AAHS will need to get a DBIDS cards to have access to the Air Force Academy. You will need to go to Pass and Registration ( located on the right side of the road, just before you get to the South gate entrance on Academy Blvd) this is the glass building with a large flagpole in the front. You will need to park at back of the building and go into the office with the below documents. Pass and Registration will run a quick background check and they take a picture of you for your DBIDS Card.
- Car registration
- Driver's license
- Proof of car insurance.
- Tuesday-Thursday 7:30-4:00pm (After June 6th 2017)
- Closed all Federal Holidays
Your DBIDS card allows you entry onto the base; it also allows you to bring your student and their siblings onto the base. Your DBIDS does not allow you to bring guests onto the Air Force Academy. You may enter the Air Force Academy through either North or South gate with a DBIDS card.
All school events are on a master calendar and guests may enter the Air force Academy through the south gate. You will not need a DBIDS card to access the base for school events; all you need is a current driver's license.
You will need to get your DBIDS card before the first day of school to be able to get on base. Please give yourself ample time when you go to get your DBIDS card, it can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on how busy they are.
If you have any questions, please call AAHS at 719-234-2400.
